Typically on the day of the test. We can produce a written document of the test findings & usually have that sent to you at the time of the testing.
Payment is due at the time of booking to secure your date. We accept all major credit cards, bank transfers, or you can pay on the day prior to the test using a debit or credit card.
Primarily, the purpose of these tests is to have a clear indication of the problem proximity, and subsequently find the cause of the issue. For example, condensation issues can be rectified by increasing ventilation. Please be aware that we provide the data to equip you or your contractor with remedial solutions.. we do not undertake damp /condensation related works as part of these tests, and we can only offer quotes on remedial works if they fall under the scope of being 'roofing related', i.e. parapet wall damp, loft condensation etc
We offer professional damp & condensation testing, usisng Protimeter testing equipment.
For damp testing, we create two small drilled holes approx 50mm apart. Deep probes are inserted into the holes, giving a reading of the moisture content in the depth of the wall/floor/insulation.
For condensation testing, our equipment finds the dew point, and then measures surface temperatures in relation to the dew point using an infrared sensor. This test can be great for identifying ventilation issues from leaks/moisture ingress issues.
